A reminder to enjoy

For the past couple of months, I have been so distracted with the things that didn’t work so well that I found it difficult to just be in the moment and to enjoy. I realized that it is a good time to change my perspective, so this month I have decided to explore more the energy of Joy.
I know that an intent without action is only an intent, so I’ve set myself a daily reminder, to take some time during my day to simply appreciate moments of joy. I’ve seen that in shifting my awareness to notice these moments, I started to appreciate the little things that, if I would have been overwise preoccupied, I wouldn’t have paid attention to. I am being more present with my breath, with myself and with what is around me. This simple step helps me to feel more uplifted and to refresh my own energy. It doesn’t mean the problems will just go away, but how I approach them and what I allow to influence my energy is up to me.
Joy uplifts our heart centre and brings us into an alignment with who we are at the core of our being. In that space we can refresh our perspective to what is truly important to us and how we choose to move forward from there.
We can miss on so many meaningful moments in our day-to-day life if we don’t stop to notice them. Sometimes all we need is just a gentle reminder to help us change the focus from what’s missing to what is already there.
