The month of January is already over. Seems like the time is going so fast. At least, this is how I feel. As I try to focus on what I can create and develop from here, I find myself paying less attention to what is wrong around me and focusing more on what good each of us can create moving forward. With no doubt that we have a lot of things we worry about with the current situation we are all in. What is happening in the world is affecting us on so many levels already, so it is easy to be afraid especially when we feel we do not have a control over the outcome. But living in fear is not going to solve much.


So, what can we control? We can surely choose what we want to do with what we have right now. It is an interesting time that pushes us to look at things differently and perhaps take a different approach and be innovative. I believe that we can always create something good out of a challenging time, if we allow ourselves to consider that option.


For the past 6 months, I have been focusing on writing my first book. This was an idea I had for many years, but I kept it on hold thinking it will happen one day. But things do not just happen, sometimes we need to make it happen. In my case, the book surely was not going to write itself. So I decided that it’s a good time to work with this idea. I’ve made a decision, I’ve set a goal, developed a schedule and I started to write. I am super excited to see the shape that it has taken and soon to be ready for publishing!


Creating a schedule and working with it, is essential to help stay committed to your plan and avoid the distractions. As a coach, I know how important it is to have a strategy, commit to it and monitor your progress so that you can move forward with your goal. I am aware when I hit some blocks and when I need to take a break to rest and to process any limiting beliefs or fears that might kick in from time to time. It is part of the process. When you decide to do something that is important to you, sometimes is easy to procrastinate or get distracted. Even drop the whole thing altogether, for whatever reasons. When you work consciously with the process, you learn your priorities and how to set healthy boundaries so that you can start seeing the results that you want to see.
